SnapPDF is a free online PDF toolkit for students, teachers, and office workers who need a file ready for email or upload — compress, merge, split, reorder, edit, and convert without creating an account.

The product started from a simple frustration: everyday PDF chores should not require installing heavy desktop software or signing up before you can download a result. We focus on clear tools, honest limits, and downloads that finish without popup mazes.

How we build

Wherever practical, SnapPDF runs in your browser. That means compress, merge, split, reorder, edit, and many image conversions process bytes on your device over HTTPS. A small set of layout-heavy conversions may use a temporary server step so tables and images survive — those files are handled for the conversion and are not kept as a document archive.

Free use is capped (typically 25MB and 100 pages) so the service stays fast for everyone. Limits are shown on each tool page.

Who it is for

People preparing school packets, application bundles, scanned receipts, and policy PDFs that need a quick edit. If you need forensic redaction, enterprise DMS, or OCR for huge archives, specialized software is a better fit — SnapPDF aims at common tasks done well.
