By accessing or using SnapPDF, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or its tools.

The service

SnapPDF offers free online utilities for everyday PDF tasks such as compressing, merging, splitting, reordering, editing, converting, protecting, unlocking, and cleaning up document photos. Features may change, move, or be removed at any time.

Many tools run in your browser. A few conversions may use a brief server step. Tool pages describe privacy behavior for that tool.

No account required

You can use the free tools without creating an account. Free use is subject to practical limits (typically about 25MB and 100 pages per job, as shown on tool pages) so the service stays usable for everyone. Limits may change.

Your responsibilities

• Only process files you have the right to process. Do not upload or convert unlawful, infringing, or confidential material you are not allowed to handle online.
• Review every download before you submit it to schools, employers, courts, banks, or other important destinations. Output quality depends on your source file and the limits of automated tools.
• Keep passwords and sensitive personal data under your control. Do not paste secrets into contact messages.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape abusively, reverse engineer in violation of law, or distribute malware through the service.

Acceptable use

SnapPDF is for legitimate document productivity. Prohibited uses include (without limitation): processing content that exploits minors; distributing malware; attempting unauthorized access to systems; bypassing technical limits at scale in a way that harms other users; or using the site to facilitate fraud.

We may block access, rate-limit, or refuse processing when we detect abuse or risk to the service.

Results are provided “as is”

Tools are provided free of charge, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Automated conversion and editing can introduce layout errors, missing fonts, imperfect tables, or quality loss.

You are solely responsible for verifying that a file is correct before relying on it. SnapPDF is not a substitute for professional legal, accounting, archival, or forensic document services.

Blackout and passwords

Blackout is designed for everyday privacy when sharing documents. It is not a guarantee of forensic-proof redaction. Password protection helps prevent casual opening; it is not a complete security program. Follow your organization’s policies for sensitive data.

Advertising

The free service may display ads when enabled. Ads help keep tools free. Ad content is provided by third parties; we do not control every creative shown. See the Privacy Policy for cookies and advertising details.

Intellectual property

SnapPDF branding, site design, and original written materials (including guides) are owned by SnapPDF or its licensors. You keep ownership of the documents you process. You grant only the limited technical permission needed to run the tool you chose (for example, reading a file in the browser or sending it briefly to a converter).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapPDF and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the site — including failed conversions, missed deadlines, or reliance on an incorrect output.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific use giving rise to the claim (often zero for free tools) or (b) the minimum amount required by applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapPDF and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your documents, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Third-party services

The site may link to third-party sites or load third-party scripts (fonts, ads, analytics, hosting). Their terms and privacy practices apply to those services. SnapPDF is not responsible for third-party content or outages outside our control.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
