How do I control page order when merging?

Select or arrange files in the order they should appear. The first file becomes the opening section of the merged PDF.

Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes?

Yes. Each page keeps its original size. Recipients may see mixed letter/A4 sizes in one file, which is usually fine for portals.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Merge runs in your browser.

What if one source file is password-protected?

Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, then merge the unlocked copy with the rest of the packet.

Is there a limit?

Each file must stay within 25MB and 100 pages. Very large multi-file packets may need compress first.

Can I remove one section after merging?

Easiest path: re-merge without that file, or split the merged PDF into groups and rebuild.

How to merge PDFs in the right order

Merging is useful when different people send separate files — cover letters, forms, certificates — and you need one packet. Order matters: most portals read pages top to bottom from a single PDF.

Steps

1. Gather every PDF you need in the final packet.
2. Select files in the order they should appear (first selected becomes the first section).
3. Merge in your browser, then skim the page thumbnails or open the result once.
4. If one section is wrong, re-merge with a corrected selection — faster than editing page-by-page.

When to use it

• Job or school applications that ask for one combined PDF
• Packing invoices, receipts, and cover notes for finance
• Building a reading pack from several handouts

Tips

• Keep each source under the size limit; merge fails if any single file is oversized.
• Rotate or reorder a source file first if its pages are upside-down.
• Name the download clearly (e.g. Application-Packet.pdf) before uploading elsewhere.
